The convective kiln drying is complex procedure of obtaining proper humid air characteristics. Part of regulation circuit is a jet pipe system for humidification of air if it is necessary. The process of humidification is basically the process of mixing two fluid currents, with different characteristics. It is possible to make a mathematical model of this process by using the of mass and energy balance equations. For the theory of control system it most important to determine all the inputs and the outputs, properly select control variable (mass flow of steam in this case), and by suitable representation give the transfer function. In this paper the transfer function is a metrics transfer function, because the system is considered to be with two outputs. The final equations are showing behavior of the humidification system.
