The paper presents results of a research of changes in some physical properties of sessile oak (Quercus sessiflora S.) wood, and those are moisture content at the moment of felling, density and axial shrinkage per stem height. The material used for the research was taken from the area of Eastern Serbia, educational base Majdanpečka Domena, GJ Crna Reka, depertments 60 and 130. The analyses of percentage of stemwood and decrease in diameter from the base of the bole to the first green branches were also carried out. The results are presented in tables and graphs with statistical parameters and they are compared to the literature values.
