Some productive and pomo-technological properties of newly bred sweet cherry cultivars Burlat, Summit, New Star, Sunburst, Teranivi, Silvia, Sanburst Sun, Merchant have been investigated. The cultivars were grafted on Gisela 5 rootstock, planting distance being 5 x 2.2 m (909.1 plants/ha). The average size of the studied fruits and kernel, which includes length, width, and thickness, was as follows: 23.9 x 26.2 x 22.7 mm and 12.2 x 10.3 x 7.9 mm, respectively. The average fruit weight in the studied cultivars was 8.6 g, whereas the lowest and highest fruit weight were evidenced in New Star (5.7 g), and Sunburst and Sanburst Sun (10.0 g) respectively. The lowest fruit ratio was found in New Star (88.6 g), and highest in Sanburst Sun (95.5 g). Soluble solids content in all the studied cultivars was averagely 13.7%, whereas SSC was lowest in New Star (12%), and highest in Teranivi (15.8%). The average yield in all the studied cultivars was 15.7 kg/tree (14.3 t/ha). The lowest yield was observed in Teranivi (12.6 kg/tree, 11.40 t/ha) and the highest in Merchant (20.7 kg/tree, 18.8 t/ha). The average yield in the first year of investigation was higher by some 23.1% as compared with that in the second year of study.
