The research of the influence of sulphur on yield and quality of the sweet corn seed named ZP 411su was done during the years of 2005 and 2006. The aim of the research was to determine how the watering of the sweet corn by thermal water naturally enriched with sulphur influences the yield and the quality of the corn seed. Different conditions of the water regime and the quantity of sulphur in water, which is found in the soil with different pH values and different contents of humus, had an important influence on the yield and quality of the corn seed. The best results were made in 2005 in the conditions of the soil which was acid and poor with humus, when the effect of watering with sulphurous water manifested as the increase of the yield for 100% in comparison with the unwatered corn. In 2006, in the conditions of the soil which was neutral and rich with humus, watering with sulphurous water, the difference between the final parameters was almost half less. The difference in the proportion of the examined parameters of the corn watered with sulphurous and technical water in 2005 was much bigger than in 2006. All this shows that watering of the sweet corn with sulphurous water has the greatest effect in the increase of the yield and quality of the corn in the conditions of the soil which is acid and poor with humus.
