In order to manage and link geographical data, today it is mostly used in the world the application of Geographical Information Systems. The core of each GIS represents the database. Making of the project Forming of Geological and Hydrogeological Database of National Park Fruška Gora will enable creation of database for the purpose of managing and protection of geological and hydrogeological resources in this area. Database like this one gives us simpler access to hydrogeological data, monitoring of regime and quality of groundwaters, evaluation of natural and human influence, evaluation of threat to groundwater quality and establishing of the system for groundwater management in area of National Park Fruška Gora. In this area there was no continuous monitoring of water appearance and objects. However, during recent observations it is noticed that many of the groundwater features, recorded in the past and drawn into the topographic maps, do not exist any more. The effects of this project and database creation will give us a more rational management and use of natural resources, with its special significance in the areas marked like special nature reserve with special measures of protection. Integration, data storage, evaluation, analysis and preservation of data are the final objective of this project.
