By seven cultivars created in selection center Novi Sad (Serbia) and Kragujevac (Serbia) during the period from 1971 to 1980 and by two cultivars created in 1990/91 year, were included in study of variability of mass of thousand seeds during 2004-2005. Average values of this trait for all wheat cultivars in first year was higher than in second year of investigation. The highest average value of thousand seeds mass in first year was found at KG-75 (52.63g) and Balkan (51.42g), in second year at cultivar KG-75 (51.21g) and Yugoslavia (48,28g) and in average for both years at the cultivars KG-75 (51.92g) and Balkan (48.77g). The smallest average mass of thousand seeds had cultivars Gružanka (39.62g) and Podunavka (37.45g). Created cultivars in 8th decade in selection center of Kragujevac had 2.45g higher mass of thousand seeds than cultivars from Novi Sad, while analyzed cultivars created in last decade of 20. century in both selection center had almost the same average values of thousand seeds mass.
