Water analyses that are conducted here only partially show propriety of water samples. For assessing of the water quality the biological propriety is very important and it can not be assessed using these analyses. Because of high water pollution levels in the last few decades, the most demanded is to study potential genotoxic and toxic effects of such state, as for man and as for organisms that live in water. By using Allium test genotoxic and toxic potential of present chemical compounds can be checked. The growth of roots of germinative bulbs of Allium cepa is observed as the macroscopical parameter of theese analyses. In our research, entire flow of Rasina river was included, starting from upper part of the flow to its inflow in West Morava river. The obtained results on presence of pollution are not at all encouraging, so reducing of existing and preventing of new, larger pollution must be our priority.
