Production of field crops at the North Kosovo | Proizvodnja nekih ratarskih biljaka na području Severnog Kosova

In macro- and micro-trials of corn, wheat, barley and triticale were analyzed yield during 2007 and 2008 years. Different climatic conditions in two years of investigation had influence to different values of yield of particular plant species. During 2008 year were more favorable conditions for plant production and yields of investigated plant species were significant higher than in 2007 year. The average yield of majority NS hybrids in macro-trials was 6630kg/ha in 2008 year, and 2300kg/ha in 2007 year. Average yield of the most wheat cultivars in 2008 year was 5900kg/ha and in 2007 year 4800kg/ha. The average yield of triticale in 2008 year was 5800kg/ha and in 2007 year was 4900kg/ha. Those results indicating that is possible realized high grain yield, especially of barley and triticale in agroecological conditions of North Kosovo and Metohia (Serbia).
