The paper presents the community of Austrian pine and Balkan oak Querco dalechampii- Pinetum nigrae Pavlović 1964 in the territory of the forest management unit Crni vrh- Ljeskovac in South-western Serbia. It is wide-spread at the altitudes between 500 and 1000 m and in all expositions. The parent rock is serpentinite. On the basis of the floral composition, the spectra of life-forms and area-types were produced and three subassociations were distinguished: typicum, cotinetosum and ericetosum. On the basis of research it was concluded that the community Querco dalechampii-Pinetum nigrae Pavlović 1964 is a progressive succession of the vegetation from pine forest towards the mesophile Balkan oak forest.
