The frankincense antioxidant activity has been establish using direct current polarography with the dropping Hg electrode. In the borate buffer solution, rN=9.8, anodic polarographic current peak at 0.06V vs. SCE decreased after addition of the frankincense saturated solution in methanol. This is the consequence of H2O2 reduction with the corresponding compounds, i.e. antioxidant, present in the frankincense.
