Influence of soil resistance on ploughing depth

Currently produced tractors are equipped with a three - point hitch used for connecting mounted and semi-mounted implements to the tractor. The three-point hitch is hydraulically controlled, different control systems being used. Most often used are the position, draught or mixed control, each having its specific characteristics and both advantages and disadvantages. After all, every type of control is suitable for certain soil and terrain conditions. Therefore, the present work is aimed at an analysis of individual control systems, too, especially from the viewpoint of the working depth uniformity of mounted implement. A special attention has been paid to the draught control that, on one hand, improves the usage of the tractor in an assembly with mounted implement but, on the other hand, it affects the working depth uniformity of mounted implement in soil with a changeable specific resistance. Based on the theoretical analysis and the experimental resistance on measurements, the effect of specific soil resistance on ploughing depth in dependence upon the input conditions in implement deeping was determined. These conditions are based on ploughing depth, specific soil and resistance and ploughing width. It has been found that specific soil resistance significantly influences ploughing depth, this depth being decreased with increasing soil specific resistance. A decline in ploughing depth non-linearly is decreased with gradual increasing specific soil resistance. The fact presented will be used for research, development and experimental verification of new control systems intended for the three-point hitch of the tractor.
