This work studied the effects of Fe-EDTA, Fe-DTPA and Fe-EDDHA on yields of sweet corn grown on a calcareous Soil, Takhli series, which was high in pH and low in available iron. The investigation was done in a greenhouse, using a Completely Randomized Design with 3 replications and 10 treatments. The treatments were 3*3 factorial combinations plus control (no Fe application). The two factors were types of iron fertilizer which comprised FeEDTA, FeDTPA and FeEDDHA and application rates which comprised 4, 12 and 36 mgFe/kg soil were investigated. The results showed that application of iron fertilizers significantly increased growth, yield and total iron uptake of sweet corn over Control. The effectiveness of iron fertilizers in increasing total uptake and yield of sweet corn were in the following order: FeEDDHA GT FeDTPA GT FeEDTA. Application of iron fertilizer in the form of FeEDDHA to sweet corn grown on a calcareous soil, Takhli series is recommended.
