This research was carried out to investigate the effects of plant densities (6.000, 10.000, 14.000, 18.000 and 22.000 plants/da) and nitrogen rates (0, 10, 20, 30 and 40 kg/da) on the forage, protein and ash yields, physiological characteristics, forage and silage quality of silage corn. Field trials were conducted in 2006 and 2007 at the research areas of Agricultural Research and Applied Center, Uludag University. In both years, wheat preceeded silage corn plantings.

Bu araştırma, silajlık mısırda değişik bitki yoğunlukları (6.000, 10.000, 14.000, 18.000 ve 22.000 bitki/da) ile azot dozlarının (0, 10, 20, 30 ve 40 kg/da) ot, protein ve kül verimleri, fizyolojik özellikleri, ot ve silaj kalitesi üzerindeki etkilerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tarla denemeleri, Uludağ Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Tarımsal Araştırma ve Uygulama Merkezi deneme alanlarında 2006 ve 2007 yıllarında yürütülmüştür. Her iki yılda da ön bitki olarak buğday kullanılmıştır.
