2010
Pham Van Dien
One of the most importantly ecological foundation for selecting suitable site for planting forests is based on the relationship between species and site condition. The above mentioned ecological foundation is focused and analyzed by the article that based on scientific approaches and suitable research methods, such as anatomy-ecology, physio-ecology, growing-ecology. The research work has achievements in determining ecological demands of Toona sinensis from the period of planting (from the age of 10 to 12 months old onwards), some ecological ranges of this species in forest plantations and in natural forests, the quantitative relationship between tree growth with combination of site factors. It is comportable to determining suitable level of the species to site condition if the combination of site conditions should be investigated. This is foundation for making decision of selection of planting forests and predicting forest growth planted on any site condition.
