In this work sandy soils Arenosols have been investigated in several new areas in our seaside, mostly in Varna and Burgas regions. Full texture and chemical composition of soil profiles have been obtained. Drawn from data established the following common characteristics of these soils have been defined: they have a soil profile with depth from the surface to 100 cm, soil texture is sandy to sandy-clay, the content of sand is over 70% and that of colloids to 10%, soil horizons are of types: A, AC and C. Data have been derived for the genesis of these soils, new data on distribution, geo-ecology and factors of soil formation, vegetation and microclimate. The results obtained will be used to introduce sandy soils as a separate unit in the National soil classification.
