As regards the environment conservation, the utilization of energetic stimulation of pre-sowing properties of seeds is a question of present interest. The aim of this study was to establish the impact of electromagnetic treatment and storage term on pre-sowing properties – laboratory germination of cotton seeds. On the base of preliminary worked out an experiment planning matrix for pre-planting electromagnetic treatment seeds of three Bulgarian cotton varieties – Chirpan-539, Avangard-264 and Trakia were pre-sowing treated in 2007, 2008 and 2009. As dirigible factors were adopted the voltage between electrodes and impact time. The values of these factors were in conformity with the specific reaction of seeds for each variety. After treatment and seed storage during for one year, the treatment was in 2008 and for two years the treatment was in 2007 laboratory experiments were carried out in 2009. It was found that the electromagnetic treatment of cotton seeds improved the laboratory germination after one- and two-yearly storage. The varieties reacted specifically to electromagnetic treatment depending on the term of seed storage. For Chirpan-539 and Avangard-264 the variant one caused the strongest increased of seed laboratory germination at both-one year and two years terms of storage. The variety Avangard-264 reacted stronger to electromagnetic treatment by increasing the laboratory germination by 10.5% after one year storage of seeds and by 6.1% after two years of seed storage, while for the variety Chirpan-539 it was by 5.4% and 5.6%, respectively. For the variety Trakia the strongest increase of laboratory germination was found for the variant 1 by 6.8% after two years storage of seeds and for the variant 2 and 3 by 3.2-3.5% after one yearly seed storage.
