Experiments with 11 potato varieties and lines grown in conditions of biological production were conducted in the Maritsa Vegetable Crop Research Institute, Plovdiv during the period 2008-2010. The aim of the attempt was to determine the response of susceptibility of the studied genotypes grown in different systems of biological production to Colorado potato beetle Leptinotarsa decemlineata Say attack, to define the effectiveness of soma botanic insecticides and to establishes the possibility for pest control. The lowest average population density of larvae and adults of Colorado potato beetle was recorded in the production systems including the use of biopesticides while in the variants without plant protection the damages in some varieties and lines Е 766 and Е 136 reaches to total leafless of individual plants. Varieties Perun, Ivertse, Nadezhda and breeding line E 1026, combining high productivity level and specific insusceptibility to Colorado beetle, are described with complex value in biological potato production Neem Azal T/S 0.3% shows good effectiveness among the three botanic insecticides included the biological test. Its biological activity is the highest – Е = 69.46% at 7th day after treatment.
