Controle dos rebrotamentos das soqueiras do algodoeiro herbáceo em plantio direto no cerrado.

RESUMO: O trabalho foi realizado com o objetivo de avaliar a eficácia e a viabilidade econômica do uso de herbicidas para o controle dos rebrotamentos das soqueiras do algodoeiro herbáceo (Gossypium hirsutum L. r. latifolium Hutch) no sistema de plantio direto no Cerrado. O ensaio foi conduzido em duas épocas depois do corte do algodoeiro. Na primeira época (53 dias após o corte), foram aplicadas doses dos herbicidas: glyphosate (480g/litro do sal de isopropilamina), 2,4 D (806g/litro do sal dimetilamina do ácido 2,4D diclorofenoxiacético) e mistura dos dois ingredientes. Na segunda (161 dias após o corte), foram aplicadas doses de herbicidas e, 10 dias depois da aplicação, os rebrotamentos foram cortados. Nas áreas correspondentes às duas épocas, foram realizados os plantios do milho, da soja e do feijão. A aplicação de pequenas doses de herbicidas não controla os rebrotamentos das soqueiras necessitando de segunda aplicação. A melhor alternativa é o corte das plantas depois da colheita e o corte dos rebrotamentos antes do plantio da soja ou do feijão. ABSTRACT: The effectiveness and the economical viability of the herbicide use for the control of the rebrote of the herbaceous cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L. r. latifolium Hutch) was evaluated in no-till cropping systems. The experiment was carried out in two application dates in Planaltina, DF, Brazil. In the first date, accomplished 53 days after the cut of cotton crop, herbicide doses were applied: glyphosate (480g/litre of the isopropilamine salt), 2,4D (806g/litre of the salt dimetilamine of the acid 2,4 D-diclorophenoxiacetic) and the mixture of these two ingredients. In the second application date, 161 days after the first cut, herbicides were applied and, ten days after the regrowth was cut. After the two applications, the area was cultivated by corn, soybean and bean. The treatment of cut after cotton harvest and another cut before the soybean and the bean were sown is the best alternative method to eliminate the socks.
