In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented results of experiments on the evaluation of the efficiency of the insecticide seed dressers against wireworms (Elateridae) in maize (Zea mays), winter wheat (Triticum aestivum) and spring barley (Hordeum vulgare) crops. The biological and economic efficiency of insecticide preparations Imidor, WSC (imidaklopride, 200 g/I), Aulsal, SC (imidaklopride, 600 g/I), Poncho, SC (klotianidine, 600 g/l) is determined. Research results showed that application of insecticide seed dressers in maize sowing made it possible to lower plant damage by wireworms on 66,7-95,9%, winter wheat – on 92,1-93,2%, spring barley – on 93,6-95,5%. Lowering of plant damage by plant pests made it possible to preserve yielding capacity of green mass of maze at the level of 103-130 centner/ha, grain of winter wheat – 3,0-3,1 centner/ha, spring barley – 1,8-2,0 centner/ha.
