In course of the research there was studied the agronomic characters of green pea (Pisum sativum) for high seed productivity and resistance to lodging in the conditions of Gomel region of the Republic of Belarus. The study of agronomic characters of 30 samples of green pea was conducted. The research was realized in a crop rotation of a trial field of the Gomel Regional Agricultural Experimental Station (Dovsk, Belarus) on sod-podzolic loose sandy loam soil, underlain with consolidated sand, and from the depth 0.8-1.0 m with moraine loam. Trial plot was flattened by the basic agronomical indices: pH of salt extract – 5.26; mobile phosphorous and potassium content accordingly 371 and 246 mg/kg of soil; humus – 1.66%. Within the studied collection changeability and association of quantitative characters determining seed productivity and processability were defined. Samples of green pea suitable for breeding were isolated. At an estimation of initial material valuable sources on seed productivity were allocated: Zazerskij ovoshchnoj (556.5 g/square m), Dyushes (562.0 g/square m), L-27-18 (545.7 g/square m) and Eh-22-75 (524.8 g/square m); on maturing rate: Rajner (65 days), Eh-22-75 (68 days) and Oskar (68 days); on standing ability – Eh-25-96, Dyushes, KP 131.
