The paper describes the development of a methodical approach, which has not been previously used in practice for evaluation of the economic damage caused to the environment by anthropogenic impacts.The ecological damage caused by the allotment of lands with natural systems located within their limits for the construction and operation of pipelines is considered. The proposed methodical approach is based on a concept of the rent evaluation of natural resources, that takes into consideration an alternative cost of effects that could be gained from natural resources within the evaluated area as a result of their exploitation in the course of their restoration. Equations for the calculation of the economic damage from pipelines in the main ecosystems of Belarus within different impacted areas, such as forests, grasslands and wetlands have been developed.
