In course of the research there was studied the efficiency of usage of Jerusalem artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus) as a source of digestible carbohydrates and vitamins in rations of young foxes. The research was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus on fox-cubs of black foxes in the age of 60-190 days of life during 18 weeks. As a result of realized research there was revealed beneficial effect of succulent fodder - Jerusalem artichoke on the growth and development of young foxes, as well as on qualitative indexes of fur productivity. It was recommended to use Jerusalem artichoke for enrichment of young animal diets with digestible carbohydrates and vitamins in the following quantities – in a summer period – 25 g, in an autumn period – calculated using 50 g on 1 portion of forage mixture. The results of experimental research, the trial arrangement, the rations of young foxes, the feeding norms, the feed mixture consumption by test animals, dynamics of body weight and body size, the value of pubes quality are presented.
