In course of the research there was studied the influence of the norms of sowing and doses of nitrogen fertilizers on productivity and quality of production of oil flax (Linum usitatissimum) in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. The research was realized in 2009–2010 on a trial field 'Tushkovo' of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy (Gorki, Mogilev region, Belarus). Sowing was made by a late-ripening variety 'Brest' with norm of sowing 8, 10, 12 million germinable seeds per hectare. A total area of a working plot was 11.4 square m, registration - 9 square meter. Frequency of experiment was the quadruple. The predecessor was barley. The working plot had sod-podzolic light loamy soil, was characterized by following indicators: рН KCl – 6.0-6.2%, the content of mobile Р2О5 - 164-165, mobile K2O - 176-178, Boron – 0.24-0.28, Zinc – 2.6-2.65 mg/kg of soil; humus content – 1.68-1.7%. Maximal productivity and quality of flax product in the test (of seeds – 1.97 t/ha with their oil content of 49.7% and of straw – 4.49 t/ha of the average number 1.0) was obtained at the rate of sowing of 10 mn germinated seeds per hectare in combination with the doze of mineral fertilizer – N40P60K90 (the main application) + N20 (additional feeding in the beginning of the phase of 'fir tree').
