There were demonstrated the results of assessment of potential invasiveness of 31 alien species of fish in Belarus using the Fish Invasiveness Screening Kit (FISK). The classification of the investigated species developed according to the risks they pose can be applied in the system of natural resource management. Research results showed that the majority of the analyzed species showed a moderate risk or high risk to become invasive species for the national conditions. After a more detailed analysis according to the categories of potential impact ('aquaculture/ fisheries'; 'environmental conditions'; 'biological hazardzs') the analyzed species were divided into four separate groups of hazard. The obtained results could be used in the system of natural resources management in Belarus, in particular, for the determination of priorities on control over the number and distribution of alien fish species.
