Achievement motivation of the agricultual extension subject matter specialist s.m.s in the agricultural extension centers in Kafr El-Shiekh and El Gharbiah Governorates

The main results of this research were: 73.3% of the respondents were medium and low level of achievement motivation. , There is a significant correlation relationship at level 0.01 of significance between degree of achievement motivation of the respondents of the S.MS and each of the following independent variables: Degree of experience period of work in the Extensional center, number of training courses in the field of agricultural production, age, degree of gob satisfaction, number of training courses in the field of agricultural extension, degree of availability of work facilities, exposure's degree for sources of agricultural information, degree of practices of extensional activities training, social origin, place of residence, educational qualification, and educational specialization, while relationship was significant and positive at 0.5 of significance with variable of experience period of work in the agricultural sector. The independent variables collectively explained 69%of the variance in the degree of achievement motivation of the employees of the S.MS, and the most affected variables were: Degree of practices of extensional activities and training explains (51.3%) of the total variance, followed by degree of availability of work facilities(8.4%),experience period of work in the extensional center (2.3%), degree of gob satisfaction (1.3%), and number of training courses in the field of agricultural extension (1%) where these variables together were explained 64.3% of the total variance.
