Present investigation was conducted in rainfed temperate hills of Uttarakhand during spring-summer of 2001 and 2002 by applying three levels of nitrogen (0, 30 and 60 kg/ha) and four levels of phosphorus (0, 40, 80 and 120 kg/ha) in all possible combinations on vegetable cv. Arkel. The results indicated that N30P120 and N30P80 were the suitable doses of fertilizer in relation to the plant growth and pod yield in rainfed temperate hills of Uttarakhand.
