Land evaluation provides information and recommendation for deciding "which crops to grow where" land evaluation is the selection of suitable land and suitable cropping. The main product of land evaluation investigations is a land classification that indicates the suitability of various kind of land for specific land uses usually depicted on maps with accompanying reports. In this research suitability of 4500 hectares Daran area have been evaluated of wheat, barley, alfalfa and potato crops. The framework of this research is FAO (1976) bulletin, Sys et.al methods and technical soil and water Institute (No.1015) report. The aims of this study are: 1-using world general methods and comparing to the new Iranian land evaluation report (No1015) 2- Qualitative land suitability evaluation for major crops. In this method land characteristics and land qualities are compared to crop Requirements and the rate of suitability for any land utilization type will be estimated. Final reports and related maps show all information about soil _ climate and crop requirements.
