The basic requirement of a society to be considered as a developed one, to gain social welfare, and to realize the independence, is research activities, creativity, and innovation. We have got to admit that undoubtedly nearly all progresses made by humankind owe to research findings. Investment in research is considered one of the most important indices of societies' development. Undoubtedly, the humankind today literally feed on the efforts, studies and curiosities of humankind living in the past, humankind in the future will make use of the studies and experiences of present humankind. Thus we can reach to this conclusion that the base of any research activities is to experience realities of life, discover the relationship between components, and their elements, to gain better scientific knowledge of that experience and finally to reach to novel facts. The facts that was unclear and concealed in the past. Bearing these in mind, we can consider research as an element of saving humankind and a parameter for reaching maturity and a utopian life. This definition is a fact that have been understood and planned by many countries after some important events in 20 century, therefore in recent years the Golestan Research Centre for Agriculture and Natural Resources according to its ability and in line with research in various fields and with the consideration of its important task, with the help of its staffs, and at various occasions it has presented scientific papers and research findings resulted from research experiments. Private sector experts, extension officers and other agriculture and natural resources users acknowledge these. Therefore, proceedings of these papers and scientific lectures are collected for better utilization. We hope that it would be useful and it will meet the needs of the relevant people.
