Investigation and comparing of yield in Sesame advanced lines.

In Order to determine high yield sesame lines 25 genotypes including : pure-lines obtained from landraces germplasm and segregating populations, were evaluated in RCBD with three replication for two years in Karaj and Moghan. Each plot was consisted of four 5 meter rows spaced in 60 cm with intrarow spaced set on 10-15 cm . Important breeding and characteristics such as : date of flowering , type of branching , number of capsule per axil , number of capsules per plant , plant height and date of maturity were recorded . Analysis of variance was carried out for yield , number of capsules per plants, plant height , number of seeds per capsules and height of first capsule. The highest seed yield showed from : - Genotypes number 2 , 3 and 5 with 1639 , 1472 and 1420 kg/ha in Karaj, respectively. - Genotypes number 9 , 24 and 8 with 1259 , 1224 and 1143 kg/ha in Moghan, respectively.
