Water controlling and distribution in irrigation and drainage networks is one of the most important functions that beneficiary custodians of them should be done. Correct regulation will prevent of water surface level fluctuations in channels and in addition prevent the related hazards of that caused decreasing of losses in water conveyance and caused proper distribution of water in offtakes. In addition recent emphasis on the volumetric water delivery in the irrigation and drainage networks of country it is necessary at the first that evaluate their ability in current conditions with considering of structures and facilities and conditions of operating and maintenances of them. In this investigation at first the structures of water regulation and division in qazvin network was diagnosed and then some samples in all channels of network selected and evaluated. Results showed that the Amil gates almost have proper function and major problems of them related to operating and maintenance. But check regulator gates have lost their efficiency and thus solid water regulator such as cross weirs was proposed instead of using them. Between of turnouts the neyrpic modules comparatively have appropriate function and if the necessary repairs and services would be done and operating conditions would be optimized then those can achieve to ideal conditions. Between the neyrpic modules of types XX, C and L the type of XX had the best adaptation with measured discharges. C.H.O gates just have lost the efficiency. The type of sluice gates also was not useful for water measurement and finally the necessary proposals produce with regard to the present conditions.
