Identification , dispersal & hosts of fruit flies(Tephritidae) in Sistan and Baluchestan province.

Fruit flies (Tephritidae,Diptera) are one of the important pest in tropical and subtropical climates. Various species of fruit flies cause damage to fresh fruit and other plant crops. There are many tropical and subtropical crops in Sistan and Baluchestan province. To prevent the establishment of Quarantine pest species in Iran these pests should be distinguished. In this project , fruit flies were collected from regions of Sistan and Baluchestan with pheromone trap, net and cultured of larve. Species were distinguished as below: 1-Bactrocera zonata (Saunders) 2- Bactrocera latifrons(Hendel) 3- Bactrocera cucurbitae (Coquillett) 4- Bactrocera dorsalis(Hendel) 5- Bactrocera oleae(Munro) 6- Dacus ciliatus Loew 7- Acanthiophilus helianthi(Rossi) 8- Rhagoletis sp. 9- Rhagoletis cerasi(Linnaeus) 10-Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann) 11-Anastrepha spp. 12-Carpomyia vesuviana Costa 13-Carpomyia pardalina Bigot Hosts were mango, guava, papaya, citrus, grip fruit, zyziphus, cucumber, melon and water melon.
