Desertification increasing their speed in order to reduce the efficiency of the international community on land that was applied to the proper and scientific management, the process must control. These include providing a temporary model for desertification assessment and mapping by FAO - Unep for countries suffering from desertification involved and to review, implementation feasibility and ultimately it was correct. For this purpose, this method of following the Qazvin Basin Great Salt Lake basin has been implemented. In this process, five major deterioration of vegetation, water erosion, wind erosion, soil salinity and falling groundwater creation in the third aspect of the current situation, speed and natural talent was evaluated. Due to lack of access to information needed to calculate the speed aspect of the process but was not possible to drop in underground water. For each of the processes and aspects of the plan preparation and degrees of desertification slight, moderate, severe and very severe in certain Each area was calculated. Ultimately every aspect maps and two maps combined with the overall current situation and natural talent for this was drawn under the basin. Total risk of desertification calculated with merge this maps and pressure of human. The result show that the most area of basin is belongs to very sever desertification and non area was covered by slight degree of desertification. So for reduce desertification on this local must change management of natural resources in correct direction and stable development. Desertification potential of digital maps for planning at the macro level, This enables managers and planners will have a better understanding of the sensitive areas to desertification And the type and manner for its present and future with a more accurate use of available resources And of being deserted villages and abandoned land to be inefficient.
