Study on grain yield and agronomic characteristics of naked barley genotypes in international yield trials in warm and semi-warm dryland areas.ý

This study was conducted by 110 international naked barley observation nurseries based on 2 experiments namely international naked barley observation nurseries (INBON) with 85 genotypes and international naked barley yield trial (INBYT) with 25 genotype were performed at systematic design(for the INBON) which each genotype was planted in the 2 rows with 2 meters length and 25cm spacing from each other via labor and for INBYT trial was done baesd on simple lattice (incomplete design with two replication) which each genotypes was planted in the 6 rows with 4.56 meters length and 17.5 cm spacing from each other by seed plnter device (Winter stiger) in the common date in the gachsaran and kohdasht stations at 2010-2011 growing season. In the INBON mahoor and new improved line (line No. 6) were used as check but in the INBYT trial only mahoor was used as check. During growth session, data were collected from some important morpho- physiological traits and all of genotypes were compared with mahoor and new cultivar in the INBON trial and in the INBYT with only mahoor as check. Present report was prepared as territorial report for Gachsaran station. Grain yield in the INBON trial were orderd from 180 kgha-1 for line No. 69 and pedigree Aths/lignee686//oreg905/cr289-53-2/3/f6nb2_khomes ICB02-0132-OAP-8TR-8AP-OAP and 94.6% yield decline to 4370 kgha-1 for line No. 60 (mahoor cultivar) with 32% yield increment relation to checks mean. In the INBYT trial results of analysis of variance showed that differences among genotyes was significant at the 5% and 1% probability levels. Grain yield in this trial were orderd from 1035.37 kgha-1 for line No. 12 and pedigree Alanda-01/4/aliso/ci3909.2//falcon-bar/3/higo ICB02-0490-OAP-7TR-OAP with 53.2% yield decline to 3009.52 kgha-1 for line No. 24 (WI2291) and 7% yield increment relation to mahoor as check. Although lines No. 25, 5 and 21 with 2813.61 kgha-1, 2208.16 kgha-1 and 2198.64 kgha-1 were placed in the next rank.
