Determination of host range of Verticillium dahliae.

Verticillium wilt incited by Verticillium dahliae kleb .is one of the most important disease of cotton in Golestan Province .In this study in order to determine of host range and host specifity of fungus Verticillium dahliae the causgal agent of Verticillium wilt in cotton , weeds and plants with symptoms due to Verticillium dahliae on fields were collected in Karkandeh station ,roots and stems of them were cut and removed on semi selective alcohle agar medium and reasearched activity of Verticillium dahliae kleb. on them . Seeds of weeds and grown in virigin artifical infsted soil with inoculum of V . dahliae under greenhous conditions and activity of pathogen on the stems and roots weeds were researched . Verticillium dahliae was isolated from the stems of wild hemp (Hibiscus sp) and from the rhizospher of datura (Datura stramonium) , Cocklebur (Xanthium sp.) , black nightshade ( Solanum nigrum) , from the samples collected from the fields and was isolated and diagnosed from the stems of yellow nightshade (S. letum ) , black nightshade (S.nigrum ) black medick ( Medicago lupulina ) and wild hemp (Hibiscus sp.) and rhizospher of amaranth (Amarantus sp. ) datura ( D . stramonium) , cocklebur ( Xanthium sp) and goose foot ( Chenopodium auimoa) were grown artificial infested soil under green conditions , too.
