Reeg estuary is located at west part of Boshehr province coastlines. This estuary is a typical bar built estuary, which elongated behind of sandy bar with 4000m lengths. Reeg estuary is composed of river, lagoon and marine estuary segments. Tidal and then flood currents are dominated currents in river and lagoon segments. These currents are response for sediment transportation from other environments into Reeg estuary. This estuary has been as sedimentary terminal, which accepts sediments from several sources and sitting for shipping and fishing activities. High sedimentation cause to shoaling and difficulty to transportation and fishing. This research is based on field measurements, library and laboratory studies. Results of these studies. are composed with together and then analyzed and interpreted. Final results are containing speed and direction patterns of currents; bed and suspended loads transport rates to Reeg estuary and via versa, sedimentation & erosion patterns in lagoon and marine estuary segments and also sources of sediments, which were deposited in Reeg estuary. 'Sediments of Aj formation and lahbary member of it, quaternary rock units (QU, Qt2) are the most important sources of sediments which deposited in lagoon and intertidal of Reeg estuary. In the other hand Bakhtiary and Asmary and then Aghajary formations from up lands, coastal duns of Reeg and Arash regions, marine sediments are sources sediments those of deposited in marine segment and Reeg estuary mouth. Furthermore in this research five variants are presented as follow to protect the Reeg estuary from sediment transport and sedimentation: 1- Periodically dredging of Reeg estuary without training of Shoor River. 2- A) Training the Shoor river B) dredging of Reeg estuary C) construction the groin at north west ofReeg estuary 3- A) Training the Shoor river B) construction the fishery port between the Reeg and Jazireh estuaries C) construction the groin at north west of Reeg estuary mouth D) construction the road from Reeg town to fishery port. 4- A) Training the Shoor river B) dredging the Reeg estuary C) detachment of marine Reeg estuary segment from outward of Shoor river. 5- A) Shift the fishery port to Arash estuary B) construction a road from Reeg town to Arash estuary C) construction a groin at north west of Arash estuary mouth.
