Recognition and proper application of factors such as water management, irrigation water application, deficit irrigation and salinity are effective and must be considered for improvement of water use efficiency. In recent years, using of models is inevitable for achieving these goals. In this study,The amoont of optimum water consumption of corn under surface irrigation and also the effects of water stress on corn yiled were investigated by using SWAP model. This experiment was conducted as split plot arranged in a randomized complete block desigen with four replications at orzooieh agricultureal reasearch station. The treatments included four levels of irrigation (60, 80 , 100% Water requirement & common irrigation), and three corn hybrids ( SC404, SC700 & SC647). water volume, grain yield and yield component and leaf area index were measured for the treatments. There was a proper correlation between the amount of water use in field and the calculated amount by swap model.Runing of model and data analyzies showed that 35 irrigation treatments and corn hybrid had significant effect on yield and leaf area index(a=5%), but their interaction was not significant. Also according to the farm result, the highest grain yield (١٢,٧tha-١) was obtained by applying ١٠٥٨٥ m٣ of water in treatment of ١٠٠٪ of corn required water. Yield decreased as applied water decreased. The highest WUE was observed in the treatment of ٦٠٪ of plant required water, with ٧٢٣٩ m٣ of applied water and ١,٤ kg grain/m٣ of applied water. The hybrids of ٧٠٤ and ٧٠٠ had significantly higher yield and WUE than cultivar ٤٠٤ .According to the finding of this reasearch, the irrigation treatment of 100% and corn SC704 hybrid are suitable for orzooieh region. SWAP model can be also useful for the assessment of irrigation systems and water management in orzooieh region.
