Fitting a plant in crop rotation is very important for the development of planting areas. Existence of summer crops such as corn and sesame in irrigated lands in the northern region of Khuzestan and harvesting of these products in November and December delay planting date of winter crops in appropriate date. This study was carried out for determination of the best planting date , seed rate and last irrigation time in spring berseem clover for seed production in Khouzestan. For this purpose, a complete randomized block design in form of split plot experiment with three replications was conducted for a period of two years from February 2008 in the Dezful Safiabad Agricultural Research Center. The main factor included four planting dates (from 21 March onwards within 10 days), sub factor including three since last irrigation (from 15 June onwards with within 10 days) and three seeding rates (15, 20 and 25 kg ha ) were sub-sub factor. Traits were included seed yield, seeds per inflorescence, inflorescence number in a square meter, number of days to flowering, and seed weight. The results of analysis of variance data obtained in testing two years showed significant differences for most traits. Comparison of means for seed yield with Duncan method showed that the best treatments are planting on February 21,last irrigation time on 25 June and 25 kg/ha seed rate (with seed yield 686 kg/ ha) and planting on 21 Oct, last irrigation time on 25 June and 20 kg/ha seed rate (with seed yield 657 kg/ha).
