Plantation selected was 3 years of age having 2 x 8 m. spacing which the area between tree's row had been used for rice intercropping during the first two years of establishment. There were fifteen experimental plots with 22 x 32 m in size, resulting from 5 treatments and 3 replications. Height of pruning was considered as treatments, i.e., control, 7m, 8m, 9m and 10m, pruning above ground level. Yield of rice, light intensity, and growth of eucalypt were parametered to be recorded the results showed that dry matter production of rice straws in combination with leaves of the control, 7-m-pruning, 8-m-purning, 9-m-pruning, and 10-m-pruning plots were of 207.67, 237.51, 210.44, 347.60 and 260.59 kg/rai, respectively. The panicled product obtained from these plots were of 113.23, 145.80 130.23, 164.77 and 137.80 kg/rai, respectively. The maximum total aboveground biomass of rice was recorded for 9-m-pruning (512.36 kg/rai), followed by 10-m pruning (398.39 kg/rai), 7-m-pruning (383.31 kg/rai), 8-m-pruning (340-68 kg/rai), and control (320.90 kg/rai).
