Inside this paper it is presented the variability of the protein content and some components of the yield at C4, C5 and C6 generation of self-fertilization lines. The medium values of the research components at obtained lines of the C6 are higher than the average values for the same properties compared to the initial material (self-fertilization lines of C4). The general average value for seed protein content in the lines of the C6 is 19.7. The minimum seed protein content value obtained at line 863412/21 was 14.8, and the maximum one at line 358916-2/2 was 25.5. Ten inbred lines were chosen for further crossing. It was investigated 15 hybrid combinations of protein sunflower types. In relation on standard, the statistic important higher seed yield was obtained by followed hybrids: ZA-NK-15 (2.723 kg/ha) and ZA-NK-7 (2.718 kg/ha).
