The research included growth rate and plant height of self-fertilizing maize lines, cob formation height, the rate of dry matter piling in above-ground parts of the plant, leaf number and leaf surface size, dry matter piling in grain, rate of moisture release from grain after reaching physiological maturity, yield and its components (cob number per plant, number of grain rows in a cob, grain number in a row, thousand seed weight, grain weight per cob), seed quality of self-fertilizing lines under optimum growing conditions, with different plant densities, with and without irrigation. Investigation of this problem has theoretical and practical importance.
