Among the examined races the biggest queen cells with the highest content of royal jelly designated for queen cell larvae were observed in Carniolan race bees. This race is, therefore, the most suitable for the production of royal jelly for industrial purposes. Queen cell larvae should be raised at the end of May or at the beginning of August.
