Data on inmature and young beetles at a range of constant temperatures and humidities are combined with published data on adults to present a summary of development, survival and reproduction rates in grain. Distinct differences from the demography of the pest in flour emerge. Results are fitted to mathematical functions as part of the development of a simulation model.
