Sunflower and soybean were intercropped in three patterns under three ridge widths. Results revealed that plant height of soybean increased by intercropping. Reduction of soybean growth characters (number of leaves, cluster and pods/ plant, dry weight of stems, leaves, pods/ plant, leaves area (LA) and leaf area index at 85 days from sowing in intercropping was realized as compared to monoculture. Ridge width, intercropping pattern and their interaction affected significantly, plant height, number of leaves, clusters and pods/ plant, dry weight of stem, leaves, pods/ plant, leave area and leave area index at 85 days from sowing except the intercropping patterns on number of clusters and pods/ plant.
