Experiments were five treatments: KCl, KNO3, K2SO4, KCl+K2SO4 and KCl+KCl. Different forms of potassium did not have significant effect on plant weight, leaf weight, stump weight, leaf numbers, leaf width and leaf length. Plants from KNO3 treated plot tended to have greater fresh weight than the other treatments. Nutrients content in the D-leaves of pineapple: N, P, Ca, Mg. and NO3- tended to be higher in the treatment of KNO3. Highest level of potassium from plants treated with KCl+KCl but the same treatment gave the lowest SO4= in D-leaves. Treatment of KNO3 had highest yield. Yields were reduced to 12.19, 11.81, 11.71 and 11.52 tons/rai on the treatments of K2SO4, KCl+K2SO4, KCl+KCl and KCl, respectively. Fruit characteristics which significantly responded to different potassium forms were titratable acids which were highest at 0.41 % from plants treated with KCl+KCl but plants treated with K2SO4 gave lowest (0.34 %). Other characteristics of pineapple fruits; crown weight, fruit diameter, fruit length, core diameter and total soluble solid (TSS) did not significantly respond to different forms of potassium.
