This study was designed to compare the sizes of spur buds of 2 strains of 'Delicious' apple (Malus domestica bork.) collected from different areas. The mineral content between spur buds and vegetative buds and differences in organic compounds particularly proteins and glycoproteins and enzymes in spur vs. vegetative buds.
