Experiment to study genetic variability, heritability, and correlation of chlorophyll content with yield in 40 peanut genotypes were carried out at Jatinangor from April 1999 to December 1999. A randomized block design with 40 genotypes as treatments and two replications was arranged. The analyzed characters were chlorophyll content of leaf since the beginning of flowering until 40 days after flowering, leaf angle, leaf area index, leaf number, and seed weight per plant. Chlorophyllmeter Minolta SPAD 502 was used to measure chlorophyll and transformed to mg/g of leaf following simple linear regression (Y = 0.039 X-0.051). Result of this experiment showed that genetic variability estimates were wide for all characters observed. Positive genetic correlation occured between yield and chlorophyll content 16 days after flowering, while negative genotypic correlation between yield and leaf angle leaf number. Heritability were medium and height for all characters observed.
