Studies on flower sex ratio, fruit set and fruit drop of mango (Mangifera indica L.) var. Nam-Doc-Mai (off season type). Flower sex ratio, fruit set and fruit drop of mango (Mangifera indica L.) Var. Nam-Doc-Mai (off season type) were observed. The results showed that the sex ratio of the flowers that bloomed each month varied with the environment. Flower sex ratio was not affected by the variation in temperature. The amount of fruit set did depend on flower sex ratio and the number of fruit set for every month varied significantly. The number of fruit drop was heavy during the first 4 weeks from the date on initial fruit set. Furthermore, fruits that set during the high temperature months did not develop till maturity compared with those set during the low temperature months.
