Comparative histopathogenesis of some Egyptian cotton cultivation infected with Hoplolaimus aegypti [Egypt].
1986
Koura F.H.
Cellular responses of cotton cultivars to Hoplolaimus aegypti infection differed greatly according to host type. The nematode caused extensive damage to the cortical parenchyma and the stele region in all cultivars. The amount of tyloses in phloem parenchymal cells varied from slight to heavy. Cotton cultivars Giza 69 and Ashmoni were the most affected, whereas, Giza 67 and Giza 66 were the least ones.
