A soil of southeast of Maracaibo Lake (Typic Ustropepts) was used to determine the nutritional requirements of N, P and K in Banana. The treatments were: Three levels of N (150, 250 and 350 kg/ha), three of P2O5 (50, 100 and 150 kg/ha) and three of K2O (300, 600 and 900 kg/ha). The trial was conducted as a factorial arrangement of treatments 33 in a randomized complete block design with three replications. The variables analyzed were: Number of finger/bunch (DEC), number of hands/bunch (NM), number of finger/hands (DEC/M), weight of the bunch (PR), weight of bunch/ha/year (PRTH), number of leaves at flowering (NHAF), plants height at flowering (APMF) and thickness of pseudostem at flowering (DSAF). There were significant differences (P<0.01) of nitrogen and phosphorus on DEC, NHAF, APMF, DSAF. There was no effect of treatments on NM y DEC/M. The best treatment was 250 kg of N, 100 kg of P2O5 and 600 kg of K2/ha.
