Significant responses to nitrogen fertilization were observed in terms of plant height, number of harvested leaves, leaf length, leaf width, leaf area, specific leaf weight, cured leaf yield, and grade index. Plants fertilized with 75 and 150 kg N/ha were the tallest (135.1 cm and 137.8 cm, respectively). The highest number of harvested leaves (26) was taken from plants fertilized with 75 kg N/ha. Plants applied with 150 kg N/ha produced the longest (48.8 cm), broadest (18.6 cm), and largest leaves (585 cm2), and the lowest specific leaf weight (4.71 mg/cm2). However, this resulted to low grade index (292). Highest yield (1.93 t/ha) was obtained from plants given 75 kg N/ha.
